Just a couple of pictures of the two quilts I'm working on :)
And of course my little helper!
The top blanket I'm making for my older sister, it's a flannel cobble stone blanket with 1940's vintage print fabric. It's really fun to work on but a little tedious at times.
The second blanket I'm making for a future daughter. It's all cotton/poly blend fabric. The center fabric I got from a bunch of remnants at Fabric Mill, the sashing fabric came from there too. On this quit I just need to make it a little bit bigger so it'll fit a twin bed. Mostly I just need to finish figuring out the sashing and attach it.
Once both tops are done I'm going to spend a day at my mom's house and machine quilt them. I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to that part. So i'm thinking that on the cobble stone I'll do either Stitch - in - the - Ditch (when you copy cat the seams) or else stipple every other diagonal strip (it's a bunch of curvy lines that never cross, it kind of looks like a bunch of scribbles). For the other one I'm not really sure what do to.. I'll probably stipple all of the sashing and then do circles in the middle of the center squares (??) but I'm not really sure about that yet... We'll see what happens but I'll post more pics when the tops are done and when they're all finished! :)
