Week 14

This week was interesting. I recently started doing a prenatal work out and so far it's been great. I feel so much better about myself, and have found that overall I have more energy. My goal is to workout everyday of this pregnancy and to continue to workout after this little one is born. I'm hoping that by doing this the labor will be easier on me, and that I'll be able to heal faster.

As for the baby "Think of it this way: You're a third of the way through and baby's a third of the way cooked. Now that the "big stuff" (like skeletal and organ development) is taken care of, your baby starts a period of rapid brain growth, fat buildup and detail work. Highlights this week include:

Your baby is now weighs about an ounce and is the length of a flip phone, or roughly 3.5 inches—he's tripled in size from a mere three weeks ago! Luckily, you haven't done the same." according to parentsconnect.com (mostly it just makes me more excited to have this little monster growing inside me :D).

Other then that I've just been working on more baby items. And yes I am working on gender specific items. Currently I'm working on car seat covers for the inside and out. The one today was for a boy (I'll post pictures a little later, mostly because I need to borrow a car seat so that they make sense). I'm also working on one for a little girl that Matt bought for me (so that I could use it as a pattern for the others). The biggest difference in the ones that I'm making is that I'm trying to make it so that I don't have to crochet around all of them. But I do want to go around some of them. Mostly It'll depend on my mood at the time (and how fast I need to get it done...).

The boy one is just about done, I have one more hole to finish off and the girls I need to crochet around them all and find some fabric to make the loops and buttons to match. I think I know what buttons I'm going to use (mostly because I already have them) but if they don't work out I'm going to try and find some turtles or something else that looks cute to put on it... I'll let you know what I end up doing!! :)
